Biography

Xiaoye Huo received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (2017) from the University of California – Riverside (UCR). In 2016, he joined Professor Balandin’s Phonon Optimized Engineered Materials (POEM) Center as an undergraduate Research Assistant. His research is focused on thermal interface materials (TIMs) and thermal phase change materials (PCMs). He participated in preparation of composite materials with graphene, conducted experiments for determining the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of composites using several different techniques. He has worked in Siasun Robotic Company designing mechanical arms and hand mechanisms.
